She’s not a Bond girl, she is Bond. It’s been recently announced that the next Bond movie will star a female protagonist. It’s a first in the long-standing Bond franchise. Frankly, it’s about time.

#2 Lupita Nyong’O

If haven’t watched US, you need to if only to see just how diverse an actress Lupita is. The Kenyan-Mexican actress is truly a major inspiration for girls out there and is breaking barriers. For her work in 12 Years a Slave, she got a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, including Best Supporting Actress, and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress,

#3 Halle Bailey

She’s making her feature film debut as Ariel in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.  I believe haters can just keep their hate to themselves as we find inclusive and progressive ways to tell beloved stories.

Living my Bestia life.

I relate to a strong, independent mother who can do stand-up while fully pregnant. The comedienne recently hit gold with her movie Always Be Maybe, a rom-com that defied stereotypes.

#5 Zendaya

At 22, Zendaya’s bio is only but impressive. It’s easy love her in the latest Spiderman movies as MJ, for sure. Add to this how she’s also a producer and also a book author. Whew!
