There is a change undergoing to the YouTube landscape. It’s perhaps the effect of realizing that as much as short-form content is funny, we can’t totally do away with the lengthy and insightful insider information only a full video can provide.

So amid all the TikTok challenges, there is room for Kate Young. The celebrated stylist behind the looks of Selena Gomez, Dakota Johnson, Margot Robbie, and other Hollywood A-listers is welcoming us all into her world via the channel “Hello, Fashion.”

Kate joins the YouTube world with fellow industry professionals–if not directly influenced by their nudging. “

“Derek Blasberg and I have been friends for twenty years at this point — we were assistants at Vogue together — and when he went to YouTube he was like, ‘You need to start a YouTube channel.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t have time for that — I don’t have time to brush my hair. I can’t get my head around it.'” she remembers. “Then Hung [Vanngo, the makeup artist] started one and was like, ‘You need to start a YouTube channel. It’s the future.’ And I had more time,” she tells Fashionista.

Kate is here to bring what she’s experienced, a true insiders look. In fact, “Hello, Fashion” is a take on how she would answer the phone at Vogue when she worked for the fashion department.

In the channel, she’s adapted fast to the current times with FaceTime conversations involving her clients and designers. “”I’m more interested in style as a whole, giving you visual stuff that makes you wanna wear your red sweater that day.”
