Is it just me, or do we love lipsticks more now that we can’t wear them because of masks? True to our human nature, we want what we can’t have sometimes. I also believe that wearing lipstick or any lip product that brings moisture and color to your lips gives you a special, intimate comfort.
I’m not alone in my sentiments, what with the slew of lip products out in the market.
Leading the pack is Hermès Beauty with its limited-edition spring/summer 2021 shades. There is Beige Ebloui, Rose Oasis, and Corail Aqua.
The three shades offer a versatility of looks and personalities. Beige Ebloui evokes the amber caress of warm sand with a nude pink shade. Rose Oasis “is a fiery shade, a mix of fuchsia and magenta. Corail Aqua promises “the bright luminescence of an intense vermilion.”
All these lipsticks are of a satin finish and focus on giving your lips a luminous appearance.
Chanel Beauty introduces new shades of the Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue. These are liquid lipsticks that offer three ways to make your lips look good. One end of the lipstick carries a long-wear color, while the other end has a bright shine lip gloss. Wear either just the color or the gloss on its own, or combine them with the gloss on top of the color for your signature hue this season.
There are eight new colors: Chic Beige, Timeless Beige, Light Mauve, Endless Pink, Burning Red, Passionate Red, Light Brown, and Intense Brown.
Chanel also offers the Rogue Coco Bloom for those who can’t do without that traditional bullet lipstick. In one smooth glide, these lipsticks give you a long-wearing intense color and a high-shine finish with hydrating benefits.
There’s also the Sisley Phyto-Lèvres Perfect. It’s a firm, gentle, easy-glide lip pencil. It contains Kokum butter and phytosqualane that nourishes, hydrates. and comforts lips. Added to these are aloe vera extract and jojoba oil. The dual-ended pencil has a brush that allows for professional-style application.
For those who love the classic Clarins Lip Oil, I want you to turn your attention to the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Intense. If you want a little more color to the nourishing combination of hazelnut, jojoba, and organic cranberry oil, the Intense formula comes in five colors: intense plum, intense raspberry, intense pink, intense fuchsia, and intense burgundy.
