On Nov 29., ready your credit cards and online carts for Pleasing. Harry Styles beauty brand, which was teased earlier this year, finally launches to the public.
For this first collection, entitled, Perfect Pearl, you get four nail polishes, an illuminating primer serum, and dual-ended eye serum, and a matte lip oil pen.
The ethos of Pleasing is rooted “to bring joyful experiences and products that excited the senses and blur the boundaries,” and to “dispel the myth of a binary existence.” Both sentiments are seen in Styles who’s covered magazines with his genderless sensibilities.
In an interview with Dazed, Styles further elaborated on what we should expect from the brand.
“The lustrous finish of the plant-based nail polish was created to mimic the iridescence of pearls (a string around his neck being one of the star’s signature flourishes). We also totally understand that we are putting more product into the world, so if we’re gonna do that, then we have to do it the right way.”
In the interview, Styles also reflected on his beauty beliefs, going beyond just the commercial aspect. “I also think that what this can become is so much more than just products you can buy. I think it’s about giving and giving back. I am blessed to have fans who are so supportive of me, who believe in freedom, and who have created this safe space for each other. Pleasing is really for them. That feeling of community is kind of what we would like Pleasing to (reflect).”
