Sure, I know exactly what I should do before hitting the sack. But knowing and doing are two completely different things. I go through phases and when I’m on this one, my skin is at its best.
I also listen to my skin. There are days I feel it needs a break. Other times I trust a sheet mask is enough. Then there have been weeks when I didn’t use a moisturizer. In truth, I have about at least three brands of moisturizers. I use whatever suits my skin because it’s never really a straight line when it comes to skincare.
There are tried and tested practices and since I’m in my, I-want-to-be-diligent-about-my-skincare-era, I would like to share my nightly ritual and products with you.

1. Sebamed face and body oil
This is my two-in-one travel kit essential. I like packing lightly and efficiently. Not to mention, I love washing my face too while in a bath. It’s non-drying and works with my sensitive skin. Available at Watsons, Lazada, and Shopee.
2. Bioderma micellar water
I like using this after I use facial soap. The reason behind this is that I want to make sure I start with the cleanest face possible before I add products. In general, micellar water improves hydration and removes dirt and oil, If I’m in a hurry, I do away with everything else, except this step. Available at Watsons.
3. Neostrata 15% Vitamin C + PHA serum
This is the secret to brighter skin. I apply it by dabbing it on targeted areas of my skin, as opposed to using the dropper directly on my face to control where the product goes. Since it’s potent, it is clinically proven to be effective with fine lines, dark spots, wrinkles, and other signs of photoaging.
4. La Prairie skin caviar luxe cream
This is such an amazing product. Yes, compared to other moisturizers, it is pricey. But its effects are incomparable. I also apply a thin film, so it lasts me months. Results are visible since it supports the skin‘s metabolism. I enjoy the lifting effect and I feel I will never need a facelift. My skin is supple, youthful, and healthy. I get my money’s worth. Available at Rustan’s.
5. Ultra eye vibrating eye cream
This product targets dark circles, puffy eyelids, fine lines, and wrinkles. Best of all, its gentle vibration drives the products where it is needed. It can also be used for lymphatic drainage by driving the wand on the side of the face using a downward motion. This helps depuff the face, and frankly, I use it upon application of my moisturizer. Available at Belo.
