One of my favorite designers is Ivar Aseron. Ask any of my friends and they will vouch for that as a truth. Just the other week I found himself at his atelier as I need a dress for an upcoming event.
Among Manila’s best-dressed and fashion arbiters, Ivar’s always top of the list. He’s also favored by brides for their gown on their big day.
What I admire about Ivar is his skill. He knows fabric. He celebrates form and he has respect for technique. This is why he’s lasted in the industry.
I’m always lucky that in my line of work I get to not just work for designers like Ivar, but also get to sit down and talk to them about their craft.
