Hand wash and lotion combinations you should have

Beauty / March 14, 2020

At the core of beauty and wellness are the basics. Hand-washing, given this current situation, takes a spotlight. There are many options for every personality and need out there.

Browsing through what’s in the market, I find you have to support handwashing with hand creams. Frequently subjecting our hands to washing, alcohol, and day to day work makes them dry. Dry hands can also bring up a lot of problems too.

So I suggest you make handwashing a regular ritual with a hand cream that addresses your concerns.

Gentle and moisturizing

If you have hands that need extra TLC, go for a cleanser that is gentle. The Yope Liquid Hand Soap is mild and eco-friendly. It’s made from plant-based glycerine, derived from sunflower oil. This also helps the skin be more smooth and gain elasticity. For healing, it regenerating vitamin B5 and allantoin.

Follow this up with a hand cream like the Evoluderm Moisturizing Hand Cream Huile Precieuse. This paraben-free and dermatologically-tested formula moisturizes and protects dry and damaged hands. The formula isn’t thick so it’s quickly absorbed. On top of that, you get the benefits of Morroco’s Argan Oil.

Yope and Evoluderm at available at Beauty Bar branches.

At-home treatment

At home, I always keep a bottle of good hand wash for my family and my guests. Neal’s Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Hand Wash is best as it doesn’t dry out hands. It contains moisturizing organic honey and energizing organic orange and mandarin essential oils.

You can then offer up the Mario Badescu Elasto-Seamollient Hand Cream. It combines the Seamollient and Vitamin E which protect the skin and promotes natural healing at the cellular level. It helps aid damaged hands with a formula that doesn’t leave behind a slick.

Drop by Rustan’s The Beauty Source for Neal’s Yard Remedies and Mario Badescu.

On-the-go care

In between tasks and when you can’t get to a sink, always carry with you a hand gel. Sephora Collection offers Hand Cleansing Gel that’s alcohol-based so it can sanitize and moisturize. There are six scents to choose from online: coconut, grapefruit, almond, watermelon, dragonfruit, and cherry.

Given the humid temperature, a good cream in your handbag is the delightfully light – and deceptively nourishing Lanolips Rose Hand Cream Everyday. It is “delightfully light – and deceptively nourishing.” Lanolin, the hero product of the company, resembles and mimics your own skin oils and holds 200% of its weight in moisture.

You also get a further treat with Alongside this, the formula stars rose oil, shea butter, grape seed oil, and jojoba seed oil.

Sephora Collection is available online via sephora.ph while Lanolips can be ordered through cultbeauty.com

Kid-friendly

Washing of hands should also be something you need to instill in your kids as a habit. I would suggest something that doesn’t dry out hands and comes in a subtle scent. L’Occitane’s Verbena Cleansing Hand Wash carries only gentle-ingredients and isn’t overly-fragranced. It’s enriched with organic verbena extract from Provence.

For hand cream, have something like The Body Shop Strawberry Hand Cream. It nourishes hands with a gel-cream texture that won’t feel sticky and absorbs fast. It also heals cracked cuticles with cold-pressed strawberry seed oil and community-trade shea from Ghana.
