Fashion / April 21, 2020

In 2017 to 2018, Musée des Arts Décoratifs presented “Dior: Designer of Dreams.” It was an exhibit through the fashion houses fabled 70-year journey. On display were all of the looks which the house introduced to the fashion world and the works of the different designers who held helm of the brand, from Christian Dior to John Galliano and from Raf Simmons to Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The following year, it was hosted in London’s V&A Museum. There it was also an immense crowd-maker, attracting fashion tourists and locals.

Now in 2020, in the middle of this crisis, we are given a chance to look at these beautiful creations online.

Dior released this behind-the-scenes look at the making of this monumental exhibit. This is an all-access pass that doesn’t require a plane ticket or for you to get out of your home clothes. A true luxury, isn’t it?

AnOther describes the video as “The documentary follows Designer of Dreams’ curators Florence Müller and Olivier Gabet as they piece together the exhibition, collating extraordinary pieces of couture from the house’s archive, plus precious archival photographs, original sketches by Christian Dior, objects and accessories, alongside prolific artworks by great masters, furniture and a treasure trove of artefacts.”
