Miranda Kerr-Approved and Paraben-Free: Why I’m Experimenting with Australian Beauty

Beauty / May 03, 2019

Holy Week meant a trip to Australia for me and my family. For the kids, it was about the tourist spots and amusement parks. For me, it was a little bit about hoarding a few products from Australian beauty brands.

In the hotel we stayed in for a few nights, I got instantly obsessed with the scent Kevin Murphy Young Again Body Wash and Kevin Murphy Young Again Rinse Conditioner. They smell luxurious and work well. The body wash left my skin soft and supple. While the conditioner didn’t leave my hair feeling greasy or heavy.

I’m a bit fair so I always look for good tanning products. In the beach country that is Australia, there’s an abundance of these. I picked up easy favorites such as Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Dry Oil which sets in two to three hours, plus is made with argan oil so your skin is glowing, just like a real tan should.

My other pick is the Le Tan Express 30 Minute Tan. This product is best used before you shower, as the effect stops when your skin comes in contact with water. I was attracted to it also because the brand is cruelty-free and uses no parabens.

No person should be without SPF. Australia had quite a selection.

I made sure to get the Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturizer SPF+50. It doubles as a daily moisturizer too so it’s a good pick for busy days.

For lips, I got the Luma Beauty Just a Touch Lip and Cheek Tint in Muse, which can be used on no-makeup days.

My other buy was the Kora Organics Noni Lip Tint. This organic balm promises to protect, nourish, and condition the lips with the power of noni fruit and the energy of rose quartz. It also doesn’t hurt that the product is from Miranda Kerr’s beauty line.

My last pick is a skin care essential: toner. I got curious at the Grown Alchemist Detox Toner attracted me because of how it claims to help in regenerating damaged cells. Created for most skin types, the toner has several ingredients which are all about preventing fine lines and wrinkles. These include vitamin A, hydrolyzed algin, blackcurrant extract, and rose flower water.

Lastly, I got the Aesop Post-Poo Drops. It has tangerine peel, ylang-ylang, and mandarin peel which deodorize in a safe, nontoxic way.
